Schertz/Cibolo Public Library

The Library is a department of the City of Schertz and as such operates under the ordinances and operating guidelines of the City. The Library was established by City Council in 1978 in response to a petition by a group of concerned citizens who decried the lack of library services in the city and the western end of Guadalupe County. In the years since its inception, the Library has grown from a tiny 1,500 square foot space to the current building size of approximately 30,000 square feet housing a collection of more than 70,000 items. Architecturally interesting, this location will not have a shortage of good places to design and place text.
